When testing Squarespace myself, I was impressed by the number of built-in features available, from blogging to bookings. But what if you want to add even more functionality to your Squarespace website?
Well, that’s where Squarespace plugins come in. There are almost 50 third-party integrations in the Squarespace Extensions library – I could install plugins to streamline shipping, enhance my email marketing, organize my bookkeeping, and more.
I’ve gathered 15 of the best Squarespace plugins to help you find the right extensions for your site.
Yes – a Squarespace extension is the same as a plugin or app. This is simply a third-party tool to enhance your site by connecting it to third-party services.
I’ll refer to them as Squarespace plugins throughout this article because it’s the term people are most familiar with. However, on Squarespace’s website, you’ll find that they’re called extensions.
#1. AfterShip: For Shipping Management
- Pricing: Starting from $0 per month
- Availability: Worldwide
- Supported languages: 23 languages, including English
AfterShip is great free plugin to install if you’re looking for support with shipping. I particularly like the branded tracking page which lets customers follow their latest order status, and the fact you can track all your shipments from one central dashboard. You’ll also have access to over 600 carriers around the world, even on the free version.
You can stay on AfterShip’s free plan for as long as you like, but if you want to unlock analytics, email notifications, or track more than 50 shipments, you’ll need to upgrade to at least the $9 per month Essentials plan.
#2. Delighted: For Customer Feedback
- Pricing: Starting from $0 per month
- Availability: Worldwide
- Languages supported: 36, including English & Spanish
Delighted is a Squarespace plugin designed to make gathering customer feedback as easy as possible. With this integration, you can trigger surveys after a customer has purchased a product from your site, either immediately or after a set amount of time.
You can also customize your feedback surveys to create consistent branding across all stages of the user journey. It’s a simple way to gain insights into the customer experience. Overall, Delighted makes analyzing your customer feedback easier – its AI tool automatically pulls out themes for you to focus on, which saves you combing through each and every response in detail yourself.
#3. EZ Texting: For SMS Communication
- Pricing: Starting from $20 per month
- Availability: Canada, US
- Supported languages: English
Did you know that SMS has a 98% open rate compared to email marketing? The EZ Texting plugin helps you connect with your customers via their mobile devices. You can set up automated texts for order and shipping confirmations, plus send promotional offers.
Sending out promotions, notifications, and automated communications via text would take ages if you had to do it all one by one, which is why this neat plugin made this list. You can try out EZ Texting using its 14-day free trial, but after that its pricing ranges from $20 to $3,000 per month (billed annually).
#4. GoDataFeed: For Product Feeds

The plugin uses your Squarespace catalog to automatically create your product feeds for hundreds of different channels, meaning you can easily optimize your listings. Pricing ranges from $39 to $399 per month – this is an additional cost on top of your Squarespace plan.
#5. inFlow Cloud: For Inventory Management
- Pricing: Starting from $89 per month
- Availability: Worldwide

The inFlow Cloud plugin gives you a complete inventory management system. Now, Squarespace does provide its own, in-house inventory management system, but inFlow Cloud is a good choice if you want some extra features. For example, it’ll update your Squarespace inventory levels for you, and you can manage your orders from any device.
However, I wouldn’t recommend the inFlow Cloud plugin for business owners on a tight budget. There’s a 14-day free trial but pricing for its premium plans range from $89 to $439 per month (billed annually).

That’s why the Returns Center plugin makes my list of the best Squarespace plugins – it’s designed to make your returns management as stress-free as possible.
This plugin gives you a branded returns page where customers can submit their return in a few clicks. They can even print labels and receive automatic status updates, while you get to view all return requests in one place. I really love that the Spocket plugin comes with thousands of pre-vetted suppliers from the US and EU, plus real-time inventory updates and 24/7 support. #13. TaxJar: For Sales Tax Automation
- Pricing: Starting from $0 per month
- Availability: United States

Do taxes keep you up at night? If so, you might need this TaxJar plugin which handles tax calculations for your Squarespace store. This is especially useful if your business runs across different states since TaxJar lets you collect in all the places you have nexus. It also helps with reporting and filing – I like this plugin because it makes a time consuming part of running a store much more efficient!
While the plugin has a 30-day free trial, you’ll soon need to upgrade to one of its premium plans. There are two to choose between (Starter and Professional) and pricing varies depending on order volume.
#14. TikTok Shop by ShoppeDance: For Social Selling

I was impressed to find that the plugin offers personalized website audits to mark any key areas for improvement, as well as a site speed checker and AI-powered tools to keep your pages running smoothly. TinyIMG is free to install but you’ll be limited to 50 free image optimizations per month. Its premium plans start from $8 per month (billed annually).
How To Add Squarespace Plugins
To add a Squarespace plugin to your site, simply follow the steps below:
- Click the “Connect to site” button once you’ve selected a plugin
- Choose which website to connect the app to, depending on the plugin
- Select “Allow” to grant the plugin permission to connect to your site
Some apps will require you to create an account with them separately, so this will add a few extra steps to the journey but nothing too intensive. Unfortunately, it’s not a simple one-click process like it is on other website builders, such as Wix.
To manage existing Squarespace Extensions or to add additional plugins, I clicked into my Squarespace settings and selected “Third Party Tools.” From there, I selected “Extensions” to get a clear overview of what plugins are connected to my site.
What About Plugins That Squarespace Hasn’t Recommended?
It’s best to be cautious of any third-party plugins that aren’t recommend by Squarespace. There are plenty of perfectly harmless tools out there, but do you want to take the risk? It’s possible for these “unverified” extensions to be out-of-date with Squarespace’s software, or even use malicious code that can damage the data and files on your website.
If you’re interested in using a third-party app that isn’t part of Squarespace Extensions, I recommend you take a look at the user reviews of the tools on sites like Trustpilot or even user-driven forums like Reddit. This is a useful way to see if other website owners have encountered problems.
Best Squarespace Plugins: Final Thoughts
Squarespace is one of the best website builders on the market, offering so many user-friendly features already built into the platform. However, there’s always room for extra customization and niche functionality to take your site to the next level.
Squarespace plugins are the perfect way to add extra functionality to your website, especially if you have a particular goal in mind, such as better email marketing or more streamlined returns. The best part is that most Squarespace plugins are really affordable, with plenty of free plans or free trials available.
I’ve shared my pick of the best Squarespace plugins, but I recommend visiting the Squarespace Extensions library to browse them yourself. Let us know if you have a favorite!
